Summer Day in Albania. Hundreds of people on the streets to enjoy the sun and to celebrate the end of the winter. The volunteers of Beyond Barriers (EVS and Sherbimit Vullnetar Lokal) decided to organize a party in the Instituti i nxënësve që nuk dëgjojnë (Institute for deaf children).

It is an institute in Tirana where around 60 students, from the age of 6 to the age of 17 are studying and living there. Their day is so organized: classes in the morning, lunch, break and then homework and studying time for the day after. Then some rest, dinner and sleep. Around 25 volunteers prepared the partying room with painting books and drawing pens for the children, they showed a movie and prepared a “human snakes and ladders game” for the teenagers. It was a great morning for the students and for the volunteers who had again the chance to feel good volunteering for the community.
